Princess Tama To
Her strong Foundation leopard bloodlines include Candy, Ben Took,
Simcoe's Sarcee, Red Eagle, Morgan's Leopard, and extremely rare up close
Argentina leopard bloodlines (known in the world today to be the only
untainted, 100% pure Foundation line in existence). She has been selected
to cross with Suenos to get some color in the barn while preserving a
foundation root stock of Indian heritage horse breeding.
Her breeding goes back to the Nez Perce Indians.
The Nez Perce became especially sophisticated horsemen, and their
mounts, which included many spotted individuals, were prized and envied
by other tribes. Historians believe they were the first tribe to breed
selectively for specific traits - intelligence and speed - keeping the best, and
trading away those that were less desirable. (read more history)
She is bred to throw spots EVERY time and they should be very loud colored
babies with lots of athletic talent. This mare was also chosen for the
naturally intelligent and gentle nature common in the Foundation lines.
Thanks to Gary Combs of Combs Appaloosas in Greensburg, Indiana for
allowing us to purchase such a wonderful and rare national treasure!
